Nancey was commissioned to create a custom collage for the November 2017 issue of O, The Oprah Magazine. Her collage is featured in the “Reading Room” section alongside a book review for 100 Amazing Facts About the Negro, by Henry Louis Gates, Jr.

Nancey was interviewed as a Hidden Gem on the online magazine, VoyageATL. She discussed her creative journey, healing her relationship with time, and what she’s looking forward to as an artist and performer.

Nancey was featured in the “Celebration Spotlight” section of the ARTUndone Blog maintained by Alena Tyson. She was highlighted for her work in collaging, the Malawi Girl Project, and her blog, “Diary of a Young Black Author in Need of a Hug.”
To Be Black and Female
Nancey’s piece, “The Butterfly Effect” was on display as part of the “To Be Black and Female: Reflecting on Black Feminism and African American Women’s Art in Museums” exhibition curated by Amber Coleman. The exhibition took place at the Lamar Dodd School of Art at the University of Georgia from October 12, 2017 – November 8, 2017.
Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts 2018 Biennial Art Auction
Nancey was invited to submit two original works of art as part of museum’s biennial art auctions. Come Home and The Chariot where chosen do be on display from February 16, 2018 to March 1, 2018.
